Tips for making your home a safer place to live

What should I do if I have been robbed?

 

If there has been a burglary in your home, the first thing to do is call the police. From then on, it’s advisable to avoid touching anything so as not to destroy any potential evidence. You must also file a report within 72 hours that includes a list of everything stolen and its value.

 Other important considerations:

  • If your credit cards have been stolen, call your bank to cancel them.
  • In the event of mobile phone or computer theft, change account passwords and close open sessions.
